Mini Schleifchen ~ Lil' Bow

Schon wieder eine Anleitung… für ein eigentlich banales Schleifchen. Vorgestern Abend musste ich noch schmunzeln, als ich von Ronja Lotte bei „nur noch…“ in ihrem Post las, dass sie quasi ums Anleitungen knipsen und schreiben nicht mehr drum herum kommt. Nun macht sie das schon viel länger als ich, aber ich fürchte ich bin auf dem besten Weg, auch so zu enden. ;) Nur muss ich ja noch üben im Vergleich zu ihr, also bekommt ihr heute von mir eine mini Anleitung für ein mini Schleifchen. Das geht ganz schnell, tut nicht weh und ist ein zuckersüßes Accessoire für vieles! Eine Idee, was man mit so einem Schleifchen verzieren kann, zeige ich euch auch schon morgen im nächten Post!

A tutorial again… for a mundane little bow. I had to grin to myself while reading Ronja Lotte’s post at “nur noch…” where she mentioned being accustomed to snap and write tutorials for (almost) everything. She’s doing this quite a while longer than I am but I fear I am well underway ending up the same. ;) But, compared to her I still need to practise and that’s why you get a teeny-weeny tutorial for a teeny-weeny bow. It’s quick, doesn’t hurt and is an accessory that’s cute as a button  for a lot of things! I’ll show one of many ideas what to adorn with it in my next post tomorrow!

Was man braucht:

Gar nicht viel!

• Ein etwa 15 cm langes (kurzes?) Stück Band  (Satinban, Webband, etc…)
• Einen Knop
• Nadel & Faden 
• Und eine Schere wäre nicht schlecht

Zuerst ein klener Tipp am Rande: Ich senge auch bei empfindlichen Satinbändchen die abgeschnittenen Enden immer gaaanz leicht mit dem Feuerzeug an, damit nichts ausfranst. Hier muss man aber wirklich gaaanz vorsichtig sein und darf das Band nur in die Nähe der Flamme halten und sollte beobachten, wann sich was tut – und es dann auch fix wieder wegnehmen. Wenn ihr so ein Satinband IN die Flamme haltet, dann habt ihr schnell keins mehr. ;)

What you need:

Not that much!

• A piece of ribbon with about 15 cm length (or shortness?)
• A button
• Needle & Thread
• And scissors would be helpful!

A small advice in the beginning: I singe the cut ends even with delicate satin ribbons with a lighter so they do not fray. But, you need to be veeery careful here and may only hold the ribbon close to the flame and need to watch what when something happens – and then take it away quickly. If you hold such a satin ribbon INTO the flame your ribbon is gone very fast. ;)

Schritt 1:

Zuerst legt ihr eine Schlaufe, die wie ein Awareness-Ribbon aussieht (gibt’s dafür eigentlich auch ein deutsches Wort?) .

Man sieht auf dem ersten Bild direkt, warum ich niemandem empfehlen würde, solche Bänder zu kaufen, wenn sie nicht auf etwas rundem aufgerollt sind. Das hier kommt von einem Stück Pappe und hat jetzt die unschönen Knicke. :(

Aber geht trotzdem.

Step 1:

First you form a loop that looks like an AwarenessRibbon (I noticed I do not know a German word for this...).

You can see in the very first picture why I would not recommend to by such ribbon if it’s not wind up on something round. This one comes from a piece of cardboard and got this unpretty little folds that do not go away. :(
Works anyway, though.

Schritt 2:

Nehmt die hintere Schlaufe dazu und legt sie an die Stelle, wo das Band gekreuzt wurde. Ihr könnt hier noch ein bisschen herumzupfen, bis euch die Schleifenform gefällt. Dann fixiert ihr das Band mit ein paar kleinen Stichen. Macht den ersten Stich dabei von hinten nach vorn.

Step 2:

Join the back of the loop and put it where the ribbon crosses. You can twitch around a bit until you like the look of your bow. Then, fixate with a few stitches. Do the first stitch from back to front.

Schritt 3:

Stecht die Nadel nach hinten durch und legt den Knopf mittig auf die Schleife und befestigt ihn auch mit drei, vier Stichen. Näht hier nicht zu dolle, wenn ihr ein Satinbändchen benutzt – vor allem, wenn ihr das Schleifchen nachher irgendwo aufnähen wollt. Zu viele Stiche verkraftet ein Satinband nicht so gut, meiner Erfahrung nach.

Fertig!

Step 3:

Pull the needle to the back and put the button in the middle of your little bow. Keep it in place with three or four stitches. Do not use too many stitches here when you are using a satin ribbon – especially if you want to sew your ribbon to something else. A satin ribbon doesn’t take too many stitches very well, in my experience.

So ein Schleifchen könnt ihr jetzt entweder irgendwo mit Sekundenkleber (oder was auch immer ihr gerne benutzt) aufkleben, oder ihr näht es irgendwo auf. Was aus diesem hier wird  und was es bald verschönern darf, seht ihr morgen.

Der Schmetterling kommt übrigens auch vor. :)

You can either glue this lil’bow to something with superglue (or whatever yo like to use), or you can sew it to something. Tomorrow, you can read here what happens to this lil’bow and what it may prettify.

The butterfly will be present too, by the way. :)
